WAITING TIME, DELAY or both

WAITING TIME, DELAY or both

After returning to the gala, I will come back to the delays and waiting times.

It is easy to criticise and claim it is badly organised,

Let's look at the numbers

First ascent

First departure actually at 8:30 am

First group 8.30 AM to 9.08 AM

Competitor's engine failure and reluctant resident = 20 min

Second group 10:05 AM to 11:02 AM

One competitor shut down due to a breakdown for 5 minutes, another competitor's car on fire… 25 minutes.

A total of 45 minutes lost due to incidents on a single incline.

Begina car every 36 seconds, good performance by the team!!

Aim
We are improving to save time between ascents.

In addition, the following facts are relevant:

Locating an overturned car during the night = Triggering the emergency,

- Feeling unwell by a 90-year-old grandmother who climbed mountain paths = Intervention by our doctor….

On the crews' page

Everyone who attends the major events and heavily monitored routes agrees that 50% of the delays are due to the collective indiscipline of the teams

A frequently observed example on Sundays:

A driver blocking the queue to have a quiet chat with a friend for 1 minute, or parked in the middle of the road to help their passenger fasten their seatbelt…

If only 60 out of 170 cars do this = 60 minutes or 1 hour is lost

Morals in 2026

We will chase the small details to improve ourselves further and in pursuit of indiscipline.

That won't put a dampener on things.

Let's say it!

For pleasure
