The association HISTORALLY 88200 REMIREMONT France is organising the Montée historique du Ballon d’Alsace, MHIBA for short, on 7-8-9 August 2026. A commemorative demonstration uphill on a closed road.

This is a gathering of historic cars (prestige cars and others may also be admitted) for commemorative demonstration climbs on the famous Ballon d'Alsace route. This event is in accordance with the RTS concerning Historic Hill Climbs issued by the FFSA on 03-07-2025 and Article R331-35, paragraph 3 of the Sports Code, which defines «Demonstration» as an event the purpose of which is the presentation, in motion, of the speed or handling capabilities of motor land vehicles, without it constituting training or competition.
It takes place on the closed RD 465 road from the LEPUIX crossroads to the summit of the Ballon on the Vosges side, and is reserved for this event on Sunday 9th August 2026 from 6 am. The start is near the RD465/rue de la savoureuse crossroads. The return to the start is via the same RD465, then through rue de la savoureuse, rue de la carrière, rue du moulin, rue de l’église, rue de la Beucinière and RD465 towards GIROMAGNY to the regrouping area at the Espace de la Tuilerie via Rue du Tilleul, Rue des prés Heyd, Faubourg de Belfort, Grande Rue, Rue de la première division Française libre, Rue de Belfort towards Lepuix then the Route du Ballon d’Alsace RD 465 towards the start.
Fees are payable in advance. Only applications accompanied by payment will be considered.
Vehicles from before and up to 31/12/1982 are accepted. Those of at least 30 years of age are eligible, including un-registered sports cars, prototypes and single-seaters. Maximum number: 180 cars.
The first ascent is a discovery climb. The following ones are demonstration climbs. In case of withdrawal, the competitor must notify the organisation immediately.
Passengers must be declared, insured, and wear the same equipment. Minimum age: 16 years.
Each crew participates at their own risk. The organiser accepts no responsibility for material or personal damage.
A waterproof tarpaulin is mandatory under each vehicle. Respect for the premises is imperative.
Exhibitors must be insured and manage their waste.
Mobile phones prohibited uphill. Road traffic laws must be obeyed. Strict adherence to the instructions of the marshals.
The door numbers and advertisements are mandatory. Any failure will result in a refusal to depart.
The numbers correspond to the order of departures and the return by convoy.
Registration implies full acceptance of the regulations.
In the event of cancellation, items already ordered will be deducted from the refund.
The organisation's decisions are sovereign and final.
Mandatory participation in the Belfort parade, exceptions apply.
