It is in the southern Vosges, close to Alsace and Franche-Comté, that the International Historic Hill Climb of the Ballon d’Alsace takes place. An exceptional commemoration of a unique event, the 1st Ballon d’Alsace Hill Climb in 1906, to celebrate the history of the automobile by bringing together these historic cars in a dynamic display that delights young and old alike, both on the slopes of the pass and during the parade in the streets of Belfort, where the faces of the spectators, even the youngest, express admiration and joy. It is an exciting experience at the crossroads of passion for classic cars and motor sports.
Definitely not to be missed under any circumstances, especially since admission is free for all spectators. .
Dear Enthusiasts
It's already been 10 years since we created this Historic Hill Climb with the aim of making it an event worthy of what the first Ballon d’Alsace Hill Climb was on August 5, 1906, with my rebellious accomplice from the early days, Jean-Paul Hoepfner, to whom I pay tribute.
The objective has been met and we will switch this year to applying the texts under the aegis of the FFSA.
The detractors won't miss an opportunity to cry wolf, regardless, we won't change our soul.
Sharing of Passion, conviviality and a great party atmosphere while respecting safety rules will remain the guiding principles as you have known them for the past 9 years.
So we are normalising a situation with clear benefits for pilots, including foreign ones who will benefit from solid personal accident insurance cover.
To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we will be returning to the Arsenal for this magical Gala Garden Party, with Le Saint Martin, one of the region's top caterers, providing the catering.
A few other surprises, but as the name suggests they remain surprises for the moment???
